Since 1997, Garrett Fennell, as Managing Director of GFC Consulting Ltd, has been an advisor to leading companies on key public affairs and regulatory issues. Garrett formerly worked with the ESB as a Public Affairs Consultant. This involved advising the ESB on external issues relating to market liberalisation and providing an external perspective on key changes to the business in preparation for a competitive market.

Prior to working with the ESB, Garrett worked as a solicitor with McCann FitzGerald in Dublin. During this time he also worked in Brussels advising clients on matters of EU law. Garrett has also worked with Park Communications, a Dublin based PR consultancy.

Garrett Fennell is a graduate in politics and history from University College Dublin, holds a Diploma in Legal Studies from DIT and qualified as a solicitor with the Irish Law Society in 1992. He currently acts as a consultant solicitor on public policy and regulatory matters to a wide range of clients operating across many sectors of the economy.

Garrett Fennell is also a Director of PAI Publications Ltd, publisher of the monthly Public Affairs Ireland journal (www.publicaffairsireland.com), an authoritative guide to legislative, regulatory and public affairs issues in Ireland.
